Graduating year cadets attending the annual Canadian Chemical Engineering conference (CSChE 2024) in Toronto ON. Students were there to attend student focused sessions on careers in the field and hear talks on the latest developments in chemical engineering.
On March 26, 2024, three RMC sponsored graduate students and one Faculty member visited the André E. Lalonde AMS Laboratory, Canadian Centre for AMS and Environmental Radionuclide research at University of Ottawa. This visit was part of the Nuclear Detection and Measurement course at RMC. Dr. Caron also gave a seminar on neutron activation analysis. On picture, Lt(N) Skachkov, LCdr Kannegiesser, Dr. Caron, Lt Gauthier.
Students in the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department travelled to Ottawa to visit the Hummingbird Chocolate Factory as one of the three stops on their academic tours. They also visited Vodkow Distillary in Almonte and Nano-Fabrication Kingston Laboratory.
Cadets had the opportunity to practice the art of glassblowing.
The Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department was in a festive mood and opened their doors for the 7th annual Holiday Extravaganza. Staff and students from RMC community spent the afternoon enjoying science demonstrations, experiments and tours of the Nuclear Reactor Facility.
