March Through The Arch

First-Year naval and officer cadets abiout tho march thru the memorial Arch for the very first time.

The journey of first-year naval and officer cadets at RMC starts with their march through the Memorial Arch, signifying the beginning of their time under the Regular Officer Training Plan. They will walk through the arch only a second time upon completion of the program.

Details

Sunday, August 17 at the Memorial Arch, 3 Valor Dr.

Dress: CAF members: Operational Dress, DND employees: Appropriate attire.

Parking: Kingston Military Community Sports Centre (KMCSC).

10 a.m. to noon: First-year cadets arrive to the KMCSC.

Noon to 1 p.m.: Period dedicated to a uniform inspection and drill practice in preparation for the March Through The Arch.

1 to 2 p.m. : Period dedicated to families and friends to spend time with their naval and officer cadets.

2 to 2:15 p.m. : Commandant RMC address families and friends.

2:30 p.m. : First-year cadets start their march through the Memorial Arch at RMC.

Family, friends and the media are welcome to attend the traditional March Through The Arch and are asked to congregate and remain on the North side of the Memorial Arch at all times.

Spectators are asked to follow the direction of the ushers who will be present at the Memorial Arch.

RMC students, staff and faculty will stand on the South side of the Memorial Arch.

The campus will be closed to the public on that day with access restricted to RMC military and civilian personnel only.
