Martine Thivierge-Bournival – Director for the Success Centre

Martine Thivierge-Bournival is a passionate professional dedicated to student success, pedagogical innovation, and human development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French studies with a double major in literature and linguistics, and has completed graduate studies in communication, journalism, linguistics, human resources, and educational technologies. She hopes to soon begin a PhD in cognitive computing, with a research project focusing on the use of generative artificial intelligence in education.

Since 2004, she has held various key roles within the Department of National Defence, including 12 years as a second-language instructor and six years as a teacher-supervisor at the Royal Military College of Canada’s Language Centre.

Now the Director of the Success Centre, Martine draws on her expertise in pedagogy, mentorship, and leadership to support the well-being and holistic development of students. Her inclusive, people-focused, and forward-thinking approach is rooted in active listening, collaboration, and the strategic integration of educational technologies.

Proud founder of the Bilingualism Club in 2016, she remains actively involved in student life with creativity, care, and enthusiasm. Her current research explores how the use of generative AI impacts students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Denise McLean has worked at RMC since 2010. She has worked in the Comptroller's office, Registrar undergraduate office, Faculty Services and is now working at the RMC Success Centre.  Denise has been a military spouse for 34 years and counting, and her husband is now retired from the Forces.  She was previously employed for 10 years working with relocation services for military members. 

Murray Anderson – E-Learning Specialist

Murray Anderson has a M.Sc. (Statistics) degree from Queen’s University and has worked for many years at RMC in the fields of teaching support, research,  and technical support of IT. He was database manager for Continuing Studies for several years and is an expert in Moodle, HTML, and various programming languages.

Eveline St-Pierre Beaulieu – Learning Specialist and Advisor

A passionate educator by training, Eveline is driven by a deep love of movement, learning, and development. For over 20 years, she has worked at the intersection of these fields, placing the body and lived experience at the heart of her teaching approach and her projects.

For 12 years, she taught French as a second language at the Royal Military College of Canada’s Language Centre, where she blended structure, empathy, and creativity in the classroom.

In 2025, Eveline joined the Success Centre team with enthusiasm, bringing her expertise to student support and inclusive learning environments. Currently pursuing graduate studies in education, she is especially interested in kinesthetic learning, somatic education, and the promotion of neurodiversity in academic settings.
